Blockchain Development in Luxembourg: Smart Contracts, dApps and Trading Tools

Blockchain is useful when several parties need to trust the same record without a middleman: payments, agreements, assets, traceability. Kolot designs and builds blockchain products for businesses and crypto projects, from the smart contract to the web interface your users see.

Our team has built its own blockchain products, including secure transactions between freelancers and companies and automated trading tools. We bring that experience to your project.

What we build on blockchain

From a first proof of concept to a production platform:

Smart contracts

Design, development and testing of smart contracts for payments, escrow, tokens or business rules, with an external audit recommended before launch.

Secure transactions

Escrow-style payments that release funds only when agreed conditions are met, for freelance work or B2B deals.

Trading platforms and bots

Interfaces, analytics and automated strategies connected to exchanges, with risk controls and monitoring.

Decentralised applications (dApps)

Web applications connected to wallets, with a clear user experience for people who are new to crypto.

Tokenisation projects

Technical development of tokens representing assets or rights, in coordination with your legal and compliance advisers.

Crypto translation

Translation of white papers, websites and product content in the crypto and blockchain field, with the right terminology.

Blockchain in Luxembourg: the context

Luxembourg is one of the European financial centres most open to distributed ledger technology. Since 2019, several laws known as the "blockchain laws" allow distributed ledgers to be used to hold and issue financial securities, and tokenisation of funds is an active topic in the local financial sector. The financial regulator, the CSSF, supervises regulated activities.

At EU level, the MiCA regulation on crypto-assets has applied in full since the end of 2024. Depending on your project, it may require authorisation or specific disclosures.

We build the technical side of your project and design it to fit these constraints. Legal qualification and licensing questions are handled with your legal advisers.

How a blockchain project works

A process designed to limit risk on code that handles value:

  1. 1

    Free first consultation

We check together whether blockchain is the right tool for your problem, and which network fits.

  2. 2

    Architecture

Choice of network, on-chain and off-chain parts, wallets and integrations, documented before coding.

  3. 3

    Smart contract development

Contracts written with tests covering normal use and edge cases.

  4. 4

    Interface and integrations

Web or mobile interface, back office and connections to your existing systems.

  5. 5

    Audit and testnet

Testing on a test network and, for contracts holding value, an independent security audit.

  6. 6

    Launch and maintenance

    Mainnet deployment, monitoring and upgrades.
